11 September 2011: Watercolour and poster on paper.

Img_5586

Had to force myself to complete this. It was way too boring just painting choppy waters.

It is time

that I set a specific goal now. I've always planned on pursuing a Master's (or phd) degree, but never when. I am going to make that happen within 10 to 12 years from now on and I will. It really isn't difficult at all. At all. So, if you happen to meet me a decade later, please ask me that, and if I haven't realised my goal, you have the right to go ahead and ridicule me all you want. But I won't give that a chance.

One fine day (many years later), I will scroll through this website and think my artwork really sucked and all but that'll be okay because I would have gotten way better, and I will come across this post, and think about the life that I would have led so far.

While they say it's impossible to live life the way you've planned it, I pretty much don't give a damn to what the naysayers have against me. I don't want to let time pass me by, having to resort to fooling myself that things are working out or that the pieces of my life will be rearranged to fit somehow, some way, but just later. Later won't ever be on time, and never arrives. And so be it.

I think collarbones are downright sexy. Really.

29 August 2011: Watercolour on lousy paper.

Finally here after so long. Inspiration is a cheat.
I'm thinking of shifting my work to tumblr..? I'm looking through my portfolio, looking back on things and I think this site needs a lot more work.

It only just occurred to me that I actually really admire fierce and majestic animals. Lions, tigers and sharks. It is the kind of real danger that will kill you, but gently.

Would be a nice place to live in!

The hair here. Is not very nice.

26 April 2011: Paper clay, water babies, acrylic paint, paper.

Sushi

The water babies, also known as crystal soil, were dyed with red food colouring. They were originally yellow.

3rd April 2011: Watercolour on paper

My first watercolour painting! I know it's like so un-watercolour-like. I couldn't get used to the free, easy feel but I am very determined to master this medium. :)

30 March 2011: Acrylic on Paper

Lindsay Lohan attempt.

17 March 2011: Pencil, acrylic, colour pencil and pen on paper.

I'm kinda attracted to her eccentricity.

Note: Colour is slightly tinted in the last photo because my camera can't seem to capture the right tones, as always.

24 February 2011: Acrylic on paper.

Now I've this feeling that I should have just left it as only one draped couch.

15 February 2011: Acrylic on paper

Decided to scan stuff for a change. It's slightly more troublesome. Much clearer, but pardon the curly paper and uneven edges. And yes, I only signed it because I had leftover brown paint from the background and well, paint's only too good.

11 Feb 2011: watered down acrylic on paper

Softblow_draft

Did a cover illustration for the Softblow, do check it out! Painted the sharks and then photoshopped them. Credits are in the Editorial, last line. : )

P.S. Sorry for the slowdown in updates, I have been busy with a current project! To do with illustrations, of course. (I'll provide news again at a later date)

6 January 2011: Acrylic on watercolour paper.

Even the death of beauty has its own shadow.

31 December 2010: watered down acrylic on watercolour paper.

It's the last day of 2010, probably the most harrowing and difficult year of my life so far. I only want to know where I'll be going.

30 December 2010: paper cut.

Originally wanted to hang this with nylon, but it failed terribly.

29 December 2010: acrylic on paper.

This turned out to be slightly more lonely and creepy rather than Christmas-sy. I guess I can never paint like how I set out to at the beginning.

11 December 2010: watercolour pencil on paper.

Some people just have sleep so easy.

2009: Acrylic on canvas.
